OnePlus at its long-awaited event unveiled the Nord smartphone and alongside this, it also raised the curtain on its first-ever truly wireless earbuds. As teased by the company on many occasions, the name of the pair of TWS is OnePlus Buds and it features all those things that the company told you about or what you gained from so many insights before the official launch.

But let’s just meet with all the specifications and features of the OnePlus Buds officially this time. The most important aspect that OnePlus is touting is battery life alongside fast charging.

According to the company’s claims, the OnePlus Buds can offer you 10 hours of listening for just 10 minutes of charge (charging box+earbuds) and 2 hours of playtime for the earbuds with just 10 minutes charge. This means the 10 hours of battery life is possible from a combination of earphones and the box. You will need to put the earphones into the box after 2 hours. When it is fully charged, it can offer up to 7 hours of music playback.

The case in which the pair of earbuds comes has support for fast-charging as well and it can offer a total of 30 hours backup with the charging case.

Coming to the design, the OnePlus Buds appear to be inspired by Apple’s AirPods, though they preserve their brand’s uniqueness by taking some hints from Bullets’ design language as well. The back of the ear tip of the OnePlus Buds shows the same circles as one would find on Bullets’ wireless earphones. Also, the case of the OnePlus Buds looks similar to the case of the recently announced Vivo TWS Neo earbuds, which is a puck-shaped body.

The OnePlus Buds comes with a 13.4mm dynamic drive and according to the company, this promises deeper bass and clear audio. Some other notable features of the OnePlus Buds are wireless charging support, Noise Cancellation, Dolby Atmos, and support for the touch gestures. You just have to press for 3 seconds when receiving a call. Also double tap for next or previous track, play/pause, or wake up the voice assistant. The OnePlus Buds is also IPX4 rated which makes it safe from splashes and it supports Bluetooth 5.0 as well.

Price and availability

The price of the OnePlus Buds is Rs. 4,990/ $79/ €89 and it will be available in White, Gray, and Nord Blue color options in an early access sale which starts on July 31, with the open sale starting August 4.
