Oppo Watch has gone official in the UK, Europe, and India as well with some interesting features. First off, the smartwatch resembles the Apple Watch and there is nothing uncanny in that because it is what it is, it actually looks facsimiled. But it runs WearOS and has Snapdragon 3100 SoC as well.
One of the highlighted features of the smartwatch is its long battery life and that too after just 15 minutes of charge, thanks to VOOC Flash Charging tech support. It comes in two models – 41mm (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and 46mm (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE).
The Oppo Watch features a flexible dual-curved AMOLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor and thanks to Wear OS, you can explore hundreds of apps on Google Play. Also, you can make payments with Google Pay, gets answers from Google Assistant.
The Oppo Watch is waterproof to 30 or 50 meters depending on the version. It comes with full health and fitness tracking capabilities, including GPS to unlock several capabilities.
Apart from them, the smartwatch offers some basic functionality as well. You can check for weather, check the time, get message notifications, stream and listen to some online music, give quick replies, make payments, and more.
You can also do a makeover of your watch by applying the pattern or design which is similar to the outfit you’re wearing. Just take a photo of your outfit with the phone and Oppo Watch’s AI imaging algorithm will generate its own watch face to match you.
According to Oppo’s claims, its smartwatch can offer up to 36 hours of battery back in Smart mode and up to 21 days of battery life in Power saver mode. Oppo touts that the smartwatch has a dual-chip endurance system to keep your watch alive for longer hours. These aforementioned claims are for the 46mm Wi-Fi model. Furthermore, the VOOC Flash Charging tech fully charges the smartwatch from 0 to 100% in just 75 minutes and can offer a 46% charge in just 15 minutes.
Note that the Wear OS app works both with iOS and Android platforms so Oppo Watch will work with both of them, though the eSIM functionally is only available on the Android version.
The price of 41mm (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) model is £229 in the UK and 14,990 INR in India. The 46mm variant costs £369 in the UK and 19,990 INR in India. It will be coming to the UK on September 3.
