Huawei is said to be prepping a new smartwatch called GT2 Pro, possibly a pro version to its GT2 smartwatch that it launched back in last year. The leakster Roland Quandt via the German site WinFuture has revealed the look and some key details on the same, including the Qi wireless charging support.
The report states that the Watch GT2 Pro is going to be the first smartwatch in the GT series to come with wireless charging support. This means the users will be able to put on a compatible wireless charging pad to get it charged.
The report also talks about some other key specs of the smartwatch, include a 1.39-inch circular OLED display with 454x454 pixels resolution and a touchscreen. The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro features a stainless steel case, which is offered in several colors and combined with bracelets made of plastic and leather. The report further tells the watch has a diameter of 46mm and is best suitable for wide wrists or those who like to wear a big watch.
The Watch GT2 Pro features some specifications similar to the original GT2 watch. This includes 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, GPS, and water resistance of up to 50 meters. It comes with a 455mAh battery and runs a proprietary operating system from Huawei. The new watch is said to have a battery life of up to 14 days. It has various sports modes like running, swimming, cycling, hiking, playing golf, skiing, fitness, gymnastics, or even tennis.
The Watch GT2 Pro also offers various fitness functions by making use of gyroscopes and other sensors. The report also tells the watch has heart rate and sleep monitor. It can also determine the stress level and record the oxygen content of the blood.
According to the report, the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro could come into the market in Germany and could cost around 280 euros (~$330).
