Last month, Google promised that an upcoming Wear OS will bring a host of new features. Now, as promised the update is rolling out with a performance boost and some interesting features as well. Google announced the new update via its Support page.
The Wear OS new update named “H-MR2,” based on Android 9 Pie is first coming to Suunto 7. Google lists three major features that are rolling out with the update. One is being the faster app launch and boot time up to 20%. Google says it has updated Wear OS from top to bottom and the changes also include pairing up the Wear OS-powered smartwatches in a snap.
With the new update, your Wear OS smartwatch will keep up even better with the fast pace of your life. We’ve improved Wear OS from top to bottom, making the app launch and boot time up to 20% faster. You’ll see changes to the device controls making it even easier to manage different watch modes and workouts.
Google says it has made enhancements to the pairing process. Also, Google has done optimizations for better battery life. Google promises the new Wear OS update can deliver longer battery life on your smartwatch.
