Xiaomi held its Mi Smarter Living 2021 event in India where it launched a range of new products, including a Mi Smart Speaker. Xiaomi also launched the Mi Band 5, a fitness tracker that it first introduced in European markets. Alongside these, Xiaomi also launched the Mi Watch Revolve, a global variant of the Watch Color smartwatch.

Mi Watch Revolve

The new Mi Watch Revolve is the first smartwatch to hit Indian shelves. It features a circular stainless steel dial and houses a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 450 nits of peak brightness, AOD support, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Mi Watch Revolve has sleep tracking, stress level, energy level tracker. The watch offers water resistance up to 50m.

It comes with 10 special sport modes. It makes use of the Firstbeat Motion Algorithm for fitness monitoring, which is capable of measuring heart rate variability, stress monitoring, body energy monitoring, and VO2 Max monitoring. It comes with a 420mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 14 days of use on a single charge. The watch will be available in two color variants — Midnight Black and Chrome Silver.

Mi Smart Speaker

Xiaomi also launched the Google Assistant-powered smart speaker at the event. The new speaker is capable of 12W of peak output and also includes Texas Instruments’ Hi-Fi audio processor for high-quality audio output and it supports the DTS audio codec. It features two far-field microphones on the top for voice inputs. It also has 4 touch capacitive buttons that you can use to control volume and playback.

There is an LED ring around the top edge that lights up whenever the Google Assistant becomes active or listening to your command. The speaker can be connected to your devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also comes with Chromecast support. For surround sound, you can also connect the speaker to more Mi smart speakers.

Xiaomi Mi Band 5

Coming to the Mi Band 5, it was first launched in June in some of the European markets and has now come to India as well. It features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display with 126x294 pixels resolution. One of the main highlights of the Mi Band 5 is proprietary magnetic charger support that lets you charge the tracker from the silicone strap only. This eliminates the need for taking the fitness tracker out of the strap for charging purposes.

It does heart rate monitoring as well with up to 50% higher accuracy and 24-hour sleep monitoring with support for daytime naps. It comes with 11 professional sports modes and does menstrual cycle tracking for female users. The band includes support for several customizable watch faces as well. According to Xiaomi’s claims, the Mi Band 5 can last up to two weeks with continuous heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring turned on. In case you do not use those features, the Mi Band 5 can easily last up to three weeks on a single charge. The band will be available in five strap color variants.
