Redmi, the sub-brand owned by Xiaomi has launched two new audio products in India at affordable price tags. One is a pair of earphones called the Redmi SonicBass and the other is Earbuds 2C. These new products come after Xiaomi launched its wearables, including the new Mi Watch at an event titled Smart Living 2021 in the country.
The Redmi SonicBass Wireless earphones have a neckband design with magnetic earbuds. As the company touts, the earphones offer 12-hour music playback and it gets connected with the phone via Bluetooth 5.0, which offers fast & stable connection. It offers multi-point dual pairing as well, which means it has the ability to pair two different Bluetooth sources, both at the same time. It switches between the two connected devices back and forth whenever it is required. If you got a call on the phone while watching a movie on the laptop, the earphones will switch to your phone.
The Redmi SonicBass Wireless earphones also has dual mics with noise cancellation. Redmi touts the dual-mic ENC suppresses environmental noise during your calls so that the receiver could hear a crisp and clear voice. It has a “Multi-Function” button as well and as the name implies, it does a number of things. It offers playback controls to play/pause music, answer/end calls, mute/unmute, reject calls, turn on voice assistant, switch to phone during calls apart from switching the earphones On/Off, of course.
The SonicBass Wireless earphones includes the 9.2 dynamic drivers that according to Redmi can offer superior sound quality and bass response. It is also IPX4 rated which makes it splash and sweatproof. It works with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Siri as well. You can charge the SonicBass Wireless earphones using a micro-USB charger.
The Redmi SonicBass Wireless earphones is available at Rs. 1,299 (~$18) and it comes in blue and black color options in a matte finish. The company is offering it a promotional price of Rs. 999 (~$14). You can get it via Mi.com, Mi store, and offline retail partners.
Together with this, Redmi has also launched the Earbuds 2C which are truly wireless in-ear earbuds coming for Rs. 1,499 and at an introductory price of Rs. 1,299 (~$18) in India.
The Earbuds 2C comes in a compact design and it looks pretty stylish. It comes in a matte black finish and features silicon tips that allow passive noise isolation.
Just like the SonicBass Wireless earphones, it supports Bluetooth 5.0, voice-assistant, is IPX4 rated, and has a Multi-Function button. It offers 12-hour playback with a charging case and 4-hour of playback on a single charge. It features improved DSP ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) that allows crystal clear call quality with its built-in microphones.
