The Oppo Enco X is the latest pair of truly wireless earphones (TWS) by the Chinese brand. It is the third such product that joins the existing Enco Free and Enco W51 in the market. These new earbuds were announced at the same event where Oppo took wraps off its first-ever smart TV lineup.
The all-new Enco X comes with support for active noise cancellation. It features a dual-microphone system that enables ANC for a clear audio listening experience. It further offers multi-level noise cancellation and a dedicated transparency mode. The latter can be enabled with a long press and it will allow users to listen to the outside world without having to pause the music or movie/TV show they are listening to.
Oppo has teamed up with Dynaudio, a Danish loudspeaker brand, for fine-tuning the audio output quality of TWS. It has a low-latency mode with latency as low as 47ms. The earphones are compatible with AAC, SBC, and LHDC Bluetooth codecs. As for connectivity options, there is Bluetooth 5.2 for pairing with smartphones.
These earbuds can be charged through a USB Type-C port as well as using any Qi wireless charging pad. The battery life is claimed to last for up to 4 hours (music listening with ANC enabled). The overall battery life is said to be of around 20 hours via the wireless charging case. Other noteworthy features include an 11mm moving coil driver, 6mm plane diaphragm driver, touch-based controls, and IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
Oppo has priced the Enco X at CNY 999 in China with pre-orders already underway. It is currently available in Black and White color options but a third Green color variant will arrive soon. As far as global availability is concerned, there are no details available yet.
