Realme Watch S with heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring launched

Realme has launched the Watch S, a new smartwatch that has a circular display. This is the company’s smartwatch, the first one was Realme Watch launched back in May.

The new Realme Watch S features a 1.3-inch circular touchscreen with 360x360 pixels resolution. The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The dial of the watch is made of aluminum and it comes only in black color but there are some colorful wrist straps in silicon material. Realme says that it will bring 100+ watch faces to the Watch S but it is unknown exactly how many watch faces it has made available out of the box.

The Realme Watch S comes with a 390mAh battery and according to Realme claims, the watch should easily last for 15 days. It is IP68 rated, which means it is water resistance up to 1.5m, though Realme specifically mentions that the watch is not suitable for swimming and shower.

The new Realme Watch S does 24-hour real-time heart rate monitoring with heart rate sensor and blood oxygen measurement with SpO2 sensor It also detects sleep patterns, calories, distance covered and gives you alerts for water intake, activity records, and so on. Realme has listed around 15 sport modes, including Indoor Run, Aerobic Capacity, Badminton, Indoor Cycle, Elliptical, Yoga, Rowing Machine, Stationary Bike.

Needless to state, the Realme Watch S like any other wearable does basic stuff as well, include call notification, message reminders, alarms, stopwatch, low battery reminder, brightness adjustment, Power Saving mode, and so on.

Realme touts that the watch can take your pictures from the phone remotely as well. Also, you can play and pause music, switch songs on your watch without taking out the phone.

The Realme Watch S has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity option and it supports smartphones running Android 5.0 and above. Also, the Realme Link app will provide you health information on your phone. Currently, this app is only available for Android users but Realme does mention it is working hard to bring the app to iOS environment as well.

The Realme Watch S is priced at PKR14,999 (~$95). It will go on sale in Pakistan from November 14 through offline retail stores. It is currently unknown if the watch will come to other markets as well.
