Oppo at its INNO day showcased X 2021, a concept phone with a rollable display, and together with this, it also introduced its new AR Glass 2021.
The new AR Glass 2021 looks pretty similar to casual pair of eyewear. The new product is a successor to the AR glasses, Oppo launched last year and it includes many upgrades.
According to Oppo, the new AR Glass 2021 is 75% lighter than its predecessor. Also, brightness uniformity has been increased by 98% and pixels per degree by 40% compared to the previous model showcased in 2019. This is when the phone is connected with the Oppo Find X series device via USB-C. The phone unlocks superiority in it.
The all-new AR Glass 2021 by Oppo features a 0.71-inch OLED display built-in, which has its light refracted by a spectroscope to the eye. It has a large amplitude speaker and a unique semi-open rear cavity acoustic design. It features different sensors, including a stereo fisheye camera, one ToF sensor, and one RGB camera. When paired with a smartphone, you can interact with the AR glasses by using your handset as a touchpad. The new AR Glass 2021 supports gesture-based interactions and spatial localization calculation within milliseconds.
AR glasses can be helpful in AR streaming of online or even local HD videos, thus bringing a “theater-like viewing experience.” It can also be used in multiplayer games or prove to be pretty helpful in interior decoration to virtually place your furniture.
