Samsung is said to be bringing a new color variant of its existing Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch. The trusted leakster Evan Blass has shared (via Voice) the image of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 rocking a new rose gold finish with a purple strap. He also revealed this watch will launch at the Unpacked event where Galaxy S21 is slated to go official.
This new dual-tone finish looks similar to the leaked render of the upcoming Galaxy S21, where the latter can be seen rocking all purple finish with rose gold accents on the camera module. Apart from the new color, nothing else appears to have changed internally. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 went official last year August. It has a round display with touch-sensitive black bezels around the periphery. It is powered by Exynos 9110 processor, Tizen OS, and has up to 1.5GB RAM.
It has a 340mAh battery and is 5ATM+IP68 certified. It is currently available with stainless steel and aluminum build material and multiple-colored strap to choose from. This year, Samsung began rolling out the blood pressure monitoring app for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in South Korea.
As stated by the leakster, the rose gold variant of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will launch on January 14, alongside the much-rumored Galaxy S21 series.
