Sennheiser, a German brand in the audio industry has made this official that it is interesting in selling its consumer audio division. On Tuesday, Sennheiser announced that it is repositioning its business in order to concentrate more on the areas where its resources can be put to better use.
To the uninitiated ones, Sennheiser’s consumer business consists of headphones and soundbars. The brand now wants to focus more on the three segments of its Professional division – Pro Audio, Business Communications, and Neumann. The German brand is currently looking for a strong partner that could invest in its Consumer business and help it in strengthening its market position in the consumer business. Sennheiser believes its consumer products can make a strong impression amid strong competitive pressure because the products are well-suited for all sorts of users. Those who want premium headphones, or are audiophiles, and look for good soundbar options.

The two brothers believe this planned repositioning will its all four business units.
In an interview with Handelsblatt, Daniel said that the company is open to all sorts of options. At this point, the company is ready to completely sell the consumer business and is also open to the idea of welcoming a strong investor who can propel things further.
