Samsung Galaxy Buds Live has received a new update that adds two major features to the earbuds. These are auto-switching & hearing aid functions that were first introduced on the new Galaxy Buds Pro truly wireless earbuds.
The bean-shaped earbuds can now auto-switch between Samsung Galaxy devices, including the tablets and phones with the latest One UI 3.1 software. Another feature added by the update is the hearing aid function that will be helpful for users with partial hearing loss. Users will be able to adjust left/right sound balance. For instance, if someone has difficulty in hearing from the left ear, they can boost the left earbud and create a balanced sound for themselves. This function came to the Galaxy Buds Pro via an update last month.
The firmware version of the Galaxy Buds Live update is R180XXUOAUB5 and it weighs 2.20MB. The update is first rolled out in South Korea and expected to arrive in other regions soon.
It is expected that a similar update carrying these two new enhancements will come for the Galaxy Buds+ as well. Let’s see when that can happen.
Galaxy Buds Live got launched in August last year. Each earbud feature a bean-like shape, which is different from the company’s other earbuds in the segment.
