As we were waiting for about a week, OnePlus has just taken wraps off its first-ever smartwatch named OnePlus Watch alongside the OnePlus 9 series. It is a wearable that you would expect to come out of the brains of the OnePlus team. There is a focus on not only making it look good but also deliver a performance that is smooth to experience.
The OnePlus Watch has a round dial that we have seen various smartwatches and even traditional watches. There are two buttons on the sides with one of them featuring the brand name. It is made out of 316L stainless steel which makes it one of the durable smartwatches that one can buy right now.
The smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326ppi. Unlike the usual trend of offering multiple sizes, OnePlus has offered it in just a single 46mm wrist size. It comes with a built-in GPS and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It supports over 110 different workout modes and features like a SpO2 sensor, stress tracking, and sleep tracking. It comes with internal storage that can be used for storing up to 500 songs. It means you do not need to carry your smartphone every time you are working out or going out for a running/jog.
It is capable of doing the usual tasks of showing incoming call alerts and app notifications but can also be paired with the OnePlus TV. The latter integration will allow the smartwatch to be used as a remote control. If you end up sleeping with the TV on and you have the smartwatch on your wrist, it will automatically turn it off after 30 minutes.
There are two color options though: Moonlight Silver and Midnight Black. It is supported by Warp Charge and is claimed to deliver a week of battery life with just 20 minutes of charging. Overall, it is said to last for up to two weeks on a single full charge and up to one week for heavy users. The OnePlus Watch is priced at $159/EUR159/INR 16,999 depending on where in the world you are buying it.
