The Oppo Watch 2 is finally official in China. It is the second-gen smartwatch from Oppo that debuted Oppo Watch last year. It comes packed with new hardware including a better chipset for improved performance. It is further promised to deliver a long-lasting battery life that will reduce the need for carrying a charger around.
The new smartwatch comes with a 1.75-inch AMOLED display panel with 372 x 430 pixels resolution. This is for the 42mm variant but if you are interested in 46mm size, the watch will offer a 1.91-inch AMOLED display with 402 x 476 pixels resolution. However, you will get a 60Hz refresh rate, 326PPI pixel density, and 3D glass protection with both variants.
Oppo has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor along with a custom-made Ambiq Apollo 4s co-processor. It is available with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. The battery capacity on the smartwatch is 360mAh and 510mAh for 42mm and 46mm variants respectively. It is claimed to last for up to 10 days and up to 16 days on a single charge respectively.
As for fitness and health-related features, you will get all commonly seen features. The smartwatch has more than 200 sports modes, a SpO2 sensor, 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracker, stress monitoring, and snoring risk assessment. It offers 5ATM water resistance so that it can be used during swimming sessions too. It will run ColorOS Watch 2.0 based on Android.
Oppo Watch 2 pricing:
- 42mm (WiFi only) for CNY 1,299 (about $200)
- 42mm (eSIM) for CNY 1,499 (about $231)
