Samsung's next-gen wearable devices are set to get official at next week's Galaxy Unpacked event. There have already been a few leaks and rumors but just ahead of the release, a German publication WinFuture.de has published all crucial details. The report mentions detailed Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic specifications along with product render images.
The Galaxy Watch Classic is reported to be available in 42mm and 46mm size options. It will have a rotating bezel and the material choice will be between aluminum and stainless steel. It is tipped to sport a 1.36-inch AMOLED display with 450 x 450 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass DX. The smaller-sized model will have a 1.19-inch display.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Exynos W920 processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. The onboard storage option is 16GB that should be more than enough for most. The battery capacity is said to be 361mAh (up to seven days) and the software is One UI Watch 3.5 based on Android Wear. The watch will also have usual certifications like IP68, MID STD 810G, and 5ATM water resistance. It will further support Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, optional 4G LTE, and WLAN connectivity.
The Galaxy Watch has a lot of things the same as the Classic variant barring a few differences. It will be sold in 40mm and 42mm size options with none of them featuring a rotating bezel. The display specs are unchanged which means the smaller one will have a 1.19-inch display and the bigger one will have a 1.36-inch panel. The battery on this model will be 247mAh.
Other common Galaxy Watch 4 features include a 24/7 heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, automatic fall detection, 40+ sports activities tracking, and female health features. This is pretty much everything revealed in the latest leak. For all other details including pricing information, we will not have to wait longer as the launch event is next week.
