It has been a couple of weeks since Samsung debuted that Galaxy Buds 2 truly wireless earbuds. These are already feature-packed for the asking price but with the first major update, the team has made them even better. These are nifty changes but the ones that will undoubtedly improve the user experience.
Samsung has now added the ability to enable Ambient Mode even when on a call. This will be beneficial when a user wants to listen to what's going around him even when speaking on a call. This mode was previously restricted to music playback but not anymore. The second important change is that Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) now works with even a single earbud.
It means users now have more control over how they want the ANC experience to be. They are not forced to having it enabled for both the earbuds at the same time. Next up, Galaxy Buds 2 users can now enable double-tap gestures for the edge of earbuds as well. This is a function that is already available on both Galaxy Buds+ and Galaxy Buds Pro. The feature can be enabled by visiting the "The Lab" section of the settings.
This new Galaxy Buds 2 update weighs only 2.3MB in size and bears firmware version R177XXU0AUH2. It is currently getting rolled out only in South Korea. It should expand to other markets around the world in the near future for sure.
