Fossil has launched its newest smartwatch lineup named Fossil Gen 6. These new wearables are powered by Qualcomm chipsets but run an older version of Wear OS. It is further packed with features including health-related stuff that you would expect from a modern smartwatch.
The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatches sport a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with 416 x 416 pixels resolution and Always On Display. It is available in two wrist size options: 42mm and 44mm. The smartwatch has a rotating bezel and also features three physical buttons on the right side. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100+ chipset meant specifically for wearables.
The smartwatch is available with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. It is claimed to deliver 85% faster performance than its predecessor. There are in-built speakers for attending phone calls as well as listening to the music playback. It means users will not have to carry smartphones around all the time.
Fossil has packed the smartwatch with all commonly seen sensors like SpO2 sensor, 24/7 heart-rate monitor, and sleep tracking. There is 3ATM water resistance which is a good thing for swimmers. There are also Bluetooth LE, WiFi, and NFC connectivity options. It will be sold in Smoke Stainless Steel, Brown Leather, Green Camo Grosgrain, and Gold/Purple options. It is priced at $299 for all options except for Stainless Steel that will cost you $319.
