Apple's next-gen smartwatch is still a year away but we have started to come across leaks and rumors. The Apple Watch Series 8 leak is coming from iDropNews citing information shared by anonymous sources. The publication has shared a render of the product based on CAD files and images.
The leak claims that Apple Watch Series 8 will have the same design as the Apple Watch Series 7. The only difference is that the alleged successor has a pair of speaker grills as compared to just one on the current generation. Other than this, both smartwatches look identical to each other. It is important to note that the color shown in the render is not part of the product but the smartwatch is said to have a Light Green color option similar to the iPad Air.
It seems like Apple is ready to continue with the unchanged design for the second continuous year. When Apple Watch Series 7 debuted, it was widely rumored to arrive with a major design overhaul but that did not happen. Apple simply release the smartwatch with a bigger display which left many fans disappointed.
This led many to believe that we will get to see a new Apple Watch design in 2022. The report adds that Apple is likely to make up for no new design by offering new features. It is unknown what those new features could be like. There is also a possibility that Apple may decide to go for a completely different design by the time smartwatch arrives in the market.
