Samsung has pushed a new software update for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic users. It brings new health and wellness features to help users reach their goals. There are also a bunch of personalization features. If you were waiting for the wearable to get Google Assistant, the company says it is still "months" away which is undoubtedly disappointing.
Chris Hemsworth's digital fitness program Centr has been integrated with the Samsung Health app. It will provide users with deeper body composition insights to help them make well-informed decisions. All Galaxy Watch 4 users will also get 30-day free access to everything that Centr has to offer.
The update adds a new interval target training aimed at runners and cyclists. It will allow them to pre-set the duration, distance, and number of sets for their workout. A new sleep coaching program is said to help users build better sleeping habits. This will require users to track their current sleep patterns for a week and complete two related sleep surveys. It will then assign them with one of the eight sleep symbol animals to represent their respective patterns. They will then be provided with a 4 to 5-week sleep coaching featuring missions, checklists, sleep-related articles, meditation guidance, and regular reports.
Lastly, there are new Galaxy Watch 4 watch faces and straps to provide users with more personalization options. There are not only new strap colors but also types. These include sport band, fabric band, and link bracelet.
