Real-life Pixel Watch images leak shows final design | UPD: more images

UPDATE (April 27th, 2022):

It is time for a bunch of more real-life Pixel Watch leaked images. The latest images have been shared by a Reddit user u/tagtech414 who even tried the smartwatch by wearing. The user has described the smartwatch as the most comfortable watch he has ever worn. He says that the watch is so lightweight that it does not even feel like it is there. The crown does not poke when the wrist is bent back or while typing.

Talking about the proprietary band, he says it is not exactly a convenient process to attach it to the smartwatch. He does describe it as quite secure once it gets attached correctly.

The alleged Pixel Watch has been a part of various rumors and leaks so far but for the first time, we are seeing what appears to be real-life images of the smartwatch. As reported by Android Central, these images were shared by a reader who spotted a Pixel Watch prototype in a U.S. restaurant, presumably left by one of the Pixel team's internal testers.

One good reason to believe that it is indeed the Pixel Watch is that its design matches with leaked renders. One can see the circular dial of the smartwatch with almost bezel-less curved glass. There is the rotating crown on the right side of the dial along with at least one physical button but there could be two. It is shown in Black color which confirms one color option.

The watch prototype also has four pins on the side which are reported to be meant for internal testing purposes. It is expected that these pins will not be there on the final product. The source behind the leak claims that he could not get past the boot logo when he tried to power it on. This is the reason there are no details about the software experience of the smartwatch.

The leaked images further show that Google seems to be using proprietary watch bands. There are likely to be different color options but nothing is confirmed yet. The bottom of the watch “looks metallic but feels like it’s coated with glass.” There is no information about the charging tech used either.

If you are wondering when will the Pixel Watch launch, there is no definitive answer to that yet. These frequent appearances of the watch in leaks suggest that a release is closer than ever. It would not be surprising if we hear something about the watch during this year's Google I/O event.
