25 May 2022 0

Xiaomi's Mi Band is one of the widely acclaimed fitness tracker lineups in the budget segment. Its newest member Mi Band 7 has been launched in China which will succeed last year's Mi Band 6. The latest model builds upon things that have made the series such a huge success among budget buyers.

The Mi Band 7 sports a 1.62-inch AMOLED colorful display with Always On Display (AOD) and touchscreen input. This is a significant size bump over the 1.52-inch panel available on the predecessor. Xiaomi has added over 100 new watch faces including a few meant to utilize Always On Display functionality. Some of them also offer customization so that you can tweak them as per your taste.

The fitness tracker supports over 120 sports modes including running, walking, swimming, cycling, and skateboarding. There are plenty of exercise tracking options for both indoor and outdoor purposes. It features automatic workout detection and users can also challenge and compete with their friends for fitness motivation. It has your usual tracking support like calories burned, the number of steps, SpO2, and heart rate monitoring. The band will alert you whenever your SpO2 level will drop below 90%.

The battery capacity on the band is 180mAh and is claimed to deliver a 15-day battery life. It will take about 2 hours to charge the fitness band completely. The Mi Band 7 is priced at CNY 239 (about $37) with availability currently exclusive to China. It will be sold in Black, Orange, Green, Blue, and White color options.
