We are less than two days away from Apple's Far Out event scheduled for September 7th. It is the event where we will officially meet the iPhone 14 lineup and new Apple Watch models. The latest leak is about the upcoming wearables as it features a bunch of Apple Watch Pro CAD-based renders. These have been shared by an online publication 91Mobiles and corroborated by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman on Twitter.
The renders suggest whatever we heard about the new Apple Watch Pro design so far is true. It can be seen with a display size that is the biggest on any Apple Watch yet. It is expected to measure closer to 2-inches. It will be a flat display with minimal bezels on all sides. The smartwatch has Digital Crown on the right side along with an additional physical button.
This new button is referred to as the multi-tasking button. It seems like this button will allow users to complete various tasks without having to interact with the display via touchscreen input. It has another button on the left side beside a speaker vent but the exact purpose of this button is currently unknown. However, Gurman believes it will likely be programmable so that users can use it for whatever they want.
This is indeed it https://t.co/ZQj7yDGHVI— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) September 5, 2022
The overall build of the smartwatch is quite bulky and sturdy. It makes sense as it is aimed at extreme sports lovers. It is unknown if we will see a similar design language and changes on other Apple Watch models as well. In a separate tweet, Gurman has claimed that there will be new and exclusive Apple Watch Pro bands and watch faces. These will be based on the extreme sports theme and will show fitness metrics and insights.
This isn’t covered in the CAD drawings, but the new set of bands for the Apple Watch Pro is going to be pretty wide ranging and play into the extreme sports theme. There will also be some pretty info dense faces for fitness metrics. https://t.co/jSD0KZGe1b— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) September 5, 2022
