Misfit has released its first hybrid wearable device, the company known for its fitness devices has decided it's time to jump onto smartwatch bandwagon. The new Misfit Phase is an analog watch which offers fitness tracking as well as notification from smartphones. Misfit Phase tracks steps, sleep habits and also shows the user the progress towards fitness goals.
Misfit has created Phase as a different kind of device from regular smartwatches present in the market. Misfit Phase is fitness band as well as a smartwatch, the device gets a battery life of six months. As opposed to other smartwatches which are required to be charged daily there is no need to charge Misfit Phase. Once the battery of the Phase dies, there is no need to charge the watch, just change the battery and you are good to go for next six months.
The watch is able to give users notifications for incoming calls, texts, email and app notification. The watch also gives users notifications for movement reminders and smart alarms. The watch can be set up to Smart Button Mode which allows users to call their phones, take selfies even control music, lights, and other connected devices. The device activity tracker is able to count steps but there is no heart rate sensor in Misfit Phase.
The watch is designed with aluminum finish with silicon or leather bands and will be available different colors. The watch is water resistant and it is always on. Misfit Phase is priced at $175 for silicon bands, while the leather band will cost $20 extra. The device will be available for pre-order from November 7th.
