Google removes all Android Wear smartwatches from Fossil

11 January 2017 4

Tech giant Google has lately started the clean up of their Google Store where all the less popular smartphone watches are going out. Previously the Huawei Watch models were placed out of the Google Store while now it seems another one went out of the shelf i.e all of the android wear watches from Fossil. Watches from the company include Fossil Q Founder, Q Wonder, and Q Marshal.

Q Founder went down the drain as it wasn’t able to get quite popular. The smartwatch featured the Snapdragon Soc replacing the previously popular Intel chip.

Though in case the users still look forward to buying any of these android wear watches, they could head over to the official website of the company and get these smartwatches made available from them i.e Q Founder, Q Marshal or Q Wonder. Though a good approach would be to wait for the Android Wear 2.0 before putting your bet on any of the smartwatches for the upcoming year.

Do let us know which smartwatch are you looking forward to this year in the comment down below.

  • In the first place, there aren't many takers for the smartwatches. And if a company like Google has this sort of approach, this will still dishearten the people and make them stay away from such devices.

      • It's understandable on the part of Google. There are a lot of things apart from just the perspective of what you see. Yeah, products should be promoted. But, how many of us have really heard of Huawei smartwatches as compared to their smartphones?

        • What sort of cleaning is this? This isn't a rhetorical question. But I really want to know the purpose behind such a "cleaning" act from Google.
