Telegram desktop app gets Private Polls support via a new update

25 December 2018 4

Telegram desktop app has received a new update that brings in the ability to create Polls inside the groups and channels so that the users could know the opinion of others for any matter. The option to create polls is available right from the chat menu of groups and channels. Just go to the menu select create polls and start typing the question or your viewpoint for what you want to gain opinions.

Anyone can create the polls in the groups and the best part is, this doesn’t go by the name of the creator and rather shows as Anonymous Poll. This means the polls could run irrespective of the fact who’s created it which is a good thing to avoid favoritism or bias. Also, no one can see who voted for what.

According to MSPoweruser, Telegram may also introduce non-anonymous polls where the voters' lists will be public and such polls will be explicitly marked as non-anonymous.

The version number of the update is 1.5.4 and Telegram also seeded some fixes and improvements after bringing this new feature as it usually does.

Telegram v1.5.4 update is available on Microsoft Store or if the app is always open then you may get an update automatically and you would need to just hit Update Telegram.
