Intel launched their 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor last month aiming at thin and light portables. The very first products we saw, were introduced from the hub of Acer - Spin 7 and Swift 7 Laptops at recently held IFA 2016 event. Now, more and more companies have started making use of Intel’s latest 7th-Gen processor. One such name to add is Dell that has recently refreshed its XPS series in the 13-inch segment.
Dell XPS 13 series is getting upgraded with the new member. Not only innards, the latest laptop got some exterior refreshment too. Interestingly, the device is now available in the Rose Gold colored variant also. Like the previous XPS 13 models, one can choose between a Quad HD+ touchscreen or a Full HD 1080p 13.3 display. The latter is capable of delivering almost 22 hours of battery life. Both of them feature Dell’s exclusive virtually borderless and premium Full HD or UltraSharp QHD+ InfinityEdge display.
Starting at $799 once can choose from Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 configurations with 4GB/8GB/16GB options for RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB for flash storage. The price for the refreshed version with Rose Gold starts at $1,499 and will begin shipping October 4th. A developer edition is also available that features Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Dell has also refreshed their 5000 Inspiron series with 7th-Gen powered 15-inch and 17-inch laptops. Inspiron 15 and 17 5000 laptops have been designed to fit in the style of everyone. It has a new thinner design for portability. The device is available in an array of colors including Sparkling white, Midnight Blue, Fog Night, Matte Gray, Black, Bali Blue, Tango Red, and Cosmic Purple.
Inspiron 15 5000 laptop features a 15-inch FHD display. It also comes with Windows Hello that lets you log in with just a look. It has a DVD drive with optional Blu-ray writer for extra storage and watching videos. Both the laptops 15-inch and 10-inch run on Windows 10. Both of them are fast, provide responsive performance with up to the latest Intel 7th Gen Core i7 processors. They both have roomy storage and optional discrete graphics
Inspiron 15 and 17 5000 are available starting Oct. 4 at $549.99 USD.
