Inspiron 7000 gaming laptops introduced at CES 2017 by Dell

CES has begun and so has the launch of new products, today Dell introduced two new Inspiron 7000 devices. The new Inspiron 14 7000 and Inspiron 15 7000 are aimed at gamers with beefed up specs, sleek design and decently priced.

With the addition of Inspiron 14 7000 and Inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptops, Dell in expanding its gaming base providing support to already popular Alienware gaming devices. The newly introduced laptops are under 1" in thickness and have the beefiest specs ever in any Inspiron laptop introduced till now.

The company has introduced thermal vents both at the front and the real, with extra-capacity heat exchangers, piping, and dual fans to keep the system cool under the rigors of hardcore gaming. The laptops come with Intel's latest 7th Gen core-i5 or core-i7 processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card with 4GB GDDR5 video memory, for Inspiron 15 7000 there is also an option for GTX 1050Ti graphics card as well. The laptops come with an option of 4GB to 16GB DDR4 system RAM which can be increased up to 32GB, which is, of course, sold separately.

While the Inspiron 14 7000 has a Full HD 1920 x 1080p anti-glare LED Backlit screen, the Inspiron 15 7000 has two other screen options than the standard Full HD 1920 x 1080p anti-glare LED Backlit screen. There is a Full HD 1920 x 1080p IPS Truelife LED-Backlit touch screen and the second one is Ultra HD 3840 x 2160p IPS anti-glare LED Backlit screen. For storage, Dell is offering many options, from 1TB HDD to dual-drive configurations with 128GB SSD & 500GB HDD up to 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD. The Inspiron 15 7000 also has the option for higher speed storage with 256GB SSD and 512GB PCIe SSD.

Both the devices come with the spill-resistant keyboard, with the Inspiron 15 7000 having the numeric keypad also included, there is also an optional backlit keyboard with red color but that is limited to some specific countries. The Inspiron 14 has a 56WHr, 4-cell battery and is supplied with a 90 Watt AC Adapter, for Inspiron 15 Dell is using a 74Whr 6-cell battery and it comes with 130 Watt AC Adapter. Both the laptops have a wide range of ports for connectivity, HDMI 2.0, 3 nos of USB 3.0 port, Kensington lock slot, 2-in-1 SD card slot. The laptops will come with Windows 10 out of the box and in some countries Ubuntu is also available. The pricing for new Inspiron 7000 starts from $799 and the devices will go on for sale in the U.S and Canada from January 5th.
