04 January 2017 0

CES 2017 is in full flow, LG has introduced its new LG Gram laptops running Windows 10. The new laptop comes in three different screen sizes 13.3", 14" and 15.6". All the models come with super slim bezels, giving a near edge to edge touchscreen. The new LG Gram laptops have support for Windows Ink feature of Windows 10 which allows users to take notes and write on web pages in Microsoft Edge browser. LG has also added fingerprint scanner which utilizes Windows Hello for logging users into Windows 10.

The new laptops are powered by Intel's 7th Gen Kaby Lake processors, options include from core i3, i5 or i7 coupled with RAM from 4GB to 16GB DDR4 system RAM. LG is offering up to 512GB SSD storage, with fast SSD and latest Intel processors, the laptops would zip through tasks.

LG has used 1920 x 1080p IPS display for its 2017 Gram laptops. LG has used the 60Wh battery in 2017 Gram laptops, with the 13.3" model LG claims the battery life to be 24 hours, which is pretty insane, for 14" model the battery life is claimed at 23 hours while for the 15.6" model LG says the battery life to be 22 hours. Also with new laptops, LG has done a wonderful job of keeping the laptops on the lighter side of the scale.

The 13.3" and 14" models weigh at 940 grams (2.07 pounds) and 970 grams (2.13 pounds) respectively, while the 15.6" even with is bigger screen size still measures at 1090 grams (2.4 pounds). LG is also offering the same Gram laptops with slimmed down the battery to 34Wh, reducing the weight of each model by 100 grams. This would be beneficial for people who care more portability over battery life. The new laptops come in three different colors dark silver, shiny white and metal rose. No details of pricing and availability are known at the moment.
