06 January 2017 2

The well-known PC and laptop manufacturer MSI has announced its upgraded lineup of gaming laptops and PCs along with graphic cards, motherboards, and accessories. All the new upgraded devices feature latest processors, audio tech, and are VR-ready which means you should expect the best and immersive gaming experience coming your way.

The first lineup of devices comprises of Tower PCs. These include newly upgraded Nightblade, Trident, and Aegis series packed with latest Intel Kaby Lake processors. Intel announced all these Kaby Lake Processors yesterday at CES keynote. The new Kaby Lake processor brings upgrade in terms of raw performance as compared to older Skylake processors, thanks to its clocking speed which can reach up to 5GHz if there is an air cooler.

The exact models included in the upgrade are Nightblade MI3, Trident 3, Aegis Ti3, Aegis X3, and Nightblade 3. The Trident 3 is said to be the world's smallest VR-ready PC yet.

Next up is the lineup of gaming laptop of MSI and is one of the most crowded lineup. MSI has upgraded its gaming laptops with the latest Intel Kaby Lake Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti GPUs.

There are just too many laptops that have been upgraded by MSI and these are GT83VR, GT73VR, GT72VR, GT62VR, GS73VR, GS63VR, GS43VR, GE72VR, GE62VR, GP62VR, GP72VR, GP62MVR, GP72/GP62, and GL72/GL62. Other than this, MSI has also improved the audio experience on some of its gaming laptop models. It has opted for the ESS SABRE HiFi audio technology and SABRE HiFi DAC in GT83VR, GT73VR, GS73VR, GS63VR and GS43VR laptops.

And as virtual reality is the next big thing, MSI has taken the step in the right direction by adding Nahimic VR with 7.1 surround sound to a few of its gaming laptops. This means, users of these gaming laptops will get a more immersive VR gaming experience along with cinematic audio experience.

There is no doubt that MSI has got some of the weirdest and hard to remember names for its gaming laptop lineup but the kind of feature they have to offer, they must be on your list if you are looking for a new gaming laptop this year.

And if you are someone who keeps an eye on specific gaming components to build his/her own gaming rig rather than buying a pre-assembled gaming laptop/PC, MSI has some new gaming motherboards and GPUs for you. MSI has continued its focus on virtual reality-based gaming and has released new gaming motherboards with VR Boost. As for taking care of overheating and performance throttling issues related to M.2 SSDs, it has opted for M.2 Shield.

There are basically three new MSI Z270 gaming motherboards: GAMING M7, GAMING PRO CARBON, and TOMAHAWK. Starting with the M7, it boasts of Audio Boost 4 PRO and RGB Mystic Light. This gives you the freedom to change colors and effects with just one click. It is the most high-end motherboard among all three.

The PRO CARBON is mainly focused at the personalization aspect and also offers RGB Mystic Light. It makes the whole customization aspect easier even when on the go via Gaming App for smartphones. The last TOMAHAWK is aimed at gamers who end up playing longer gaming sessions.

As for graphic card related announcement, MSI unveiled GUS (Graphics Upgrade Solution) which is aimed at gamers looking to attain as high quality graphics as possible. The GUS is basically a graphic card enclosure but it comes with a Thunderbolt 3 supported interface which makes it stand out from the crowd of other such enclosures.

And if you are looking for a CPU cooler, MSI has the Core Frozr XL for you this time. But unfortunately, MSI has not shared much details about it which means we can't really tell what's new or special about it.

Other than the above mentioned beast gaming products, MSI had some new gaming accessories to wrap up the day. These include GH70 GAMING headset, Clutch GM70 GAMING mouse, and Vigor GK80 and GK70 GAMING keyboards.

MSI has not shared pricing and availability details for any of these products yet. So if you are planning to buy any of them, you will have to be a little more patient.
