Xiaomi had unveiled its first in-house chipset, the Surge S1, as well as the Mi 5C and Redmi 4X smartphones, at the Mobile world Congress event 2017.
Now the company had posted a teaser of the rumored Mi Pad 3 on its official Taobao page, according to reports. Xiaomi has not given any timeline of the product’s launch but has confirmed that the device is coming soon.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will be the successor to the Mi Pad 2 that was launched nearly a year back. The next generation Mi Pad 3 is expected to have a 9.7-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. The tablet will have a sleek 6.08mm body powered by an Intel Core M3-7Y90 processor with 8GB of RAM.
The tablet will come in 128GB and 256GB of internal storage variants. Mi Pad 3 will be backed by an 8,290mAh battery. Connectivity wise the tablet will have a USB 3.1 Type-C port, with support for Quick Charge 3.0. It will have a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The tablet will run on Windows 10 OS and will come preinstalled with MS Office Suite and Cortana. The Mi Pad 3 will also have an in-house fingerprint sensor for additional security.
The launch date and the price of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 have not been revealed yet. Rumors suggest that the Mi Pad 3 will be priced starting at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 19,532). It will also come with an optional keyboard dock priced at CNY 99.
