Alcatel at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona launched a new tablet-based 2-in-1 running Windows 10 with a detachable keyboard. The tablet aims at the business users and comes pre-installed with a range of productivity-oriented applications and services just like Samsung’s new Tab S3.
Mobilescout attended Alcatel's event and took some interesting shots of the tablet for its readers to provide you the first impressions.
Alcatel Plus 12 holds metal front casting has a premium brush effect finish. The device comes with multiple ports - USB type C, a USB type A, a micro-HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Also known as laplet, the device is comfortable to hold, however, you won’t be able to grip for longer hours as the back of the laplet is slippery and can easily slips from the hands. However, it’s one of the lightest laptops for its screen size in the market, weighing just 990gms.
The device holds an 11.6-inch full HD display which is also little larger to handle for a long time, though we have no complaints if we look at its another side, that large size would make the access of the apps seamless. The display is sharp and vibrant.
Talking about the keyboard, it certainly provides a better way when one doesn’t want to use the on-screen solution. However, the touchpad is pretty tiny.
Alcatel Plus 12 also includes a Pen that attaches to the right of the tablet magnetically.
The 4G connected Plus 12 2-in-1 laptop from Alcatel is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is a microSD card that will help you to increase the storage to 128GB. It houses a non-user-replaceable 6900mAh battery.
