OneNote has received a major update for Windows 10, but, it’s now active for only a small group of users who are part of the Skip Ahead in the Windows Insiders program. This means even the Insiders in the Fast ring aren’t eligible to receive this update now.
This major update brings many new features to the OneNote, some of which might have been demanded by many. For instance, the Ink to Text feature lets you convert any handwritten notes to the text. Hence, it becomes easier to manage and that too with the help of just a click.
The users first need to use the Lasso tool to select the handwritten text they want to convert and then just click the “Ink to Text” option to get it done. You can also convert a part of a sentence if not the whole is required.
In addition to this, the OneNote also receives graph-related features, these include calculating the key features, such as minima, maxima, or axes intercepts.
Next up is, linking to a specific paragraph, which lets you jump quickly to a content you’re looking for. This is helpful for the users who take big notes and becomes difficult for them to search for a specific piece of information. One can make a table of contents to keep track of the whole content when taking notes or revising them.
The new update of OneNote for Windows 10 also lets you copy a hyperlink. You just need to right click a hyperlink in your notes and copy the link to use in other places.
Coming back to some Ink features, the update brings more dazzling ink effects, which means you can take some sparkling notes with the help of lava, ocean, bronze, and rose gold.
