Xiaomi at its launch event in Shenzhen, China launched Mi 8 flagship phone and introduced the features of MIUI 10. Alongside them, the maker of the Chinese smartphones also launched Mi Band 3, a new fitness tracker.
Mi Band 3 has an OLED display and a convex shape; the display is quite smaller with 0.78-inches. It has a capacitive touchscreen display so that users can access several options with an ease. For instance, users can answer to incoming calls via the touchscreen display. The users will have an option to change the straps which are available in Black, Blue, and Pink color variants.
The Mi Band 3 also includes the heart rate monitor and it can also track your daily steps with the help of the step counter. The band is waterproof and can withstand any water damage if submerged in water of up to 50m depth. The battery capacity of the band is 110mAH and it can last up to 20 days on a single charge.
Compared to the predecessor, the Mi Band 3 has a bigger display so the users can read the messages easily. It also provides accurate data and can give show steps, sleep tracking, and heart rate tracking data. It will also show message content along with caller ID.
The Mi Band 3 also comes with NFC support and this is a different variant from the regular which will cost a bit extra. The NFC support will help in making the mobile payments for the users.
The price of the Mi Band 3 with NFC support is 199 Yuan. The version without NFC support is priced at 169 Yuan. It will be available in China first. We are yet to know if Xiaomi makes it available to other countries or not.
