Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker gaming smartphone scores high on Geekbench

09 January 2019 3

Fast-rising Chinese smartphone and fitness accessories manufacturer Xiaomi earlier announced Black Shark smartphone that was targeted towards the mobile gaming community. The phone Black Shark was then followed by a successor Black Shark Helo that boasted an impressive 10GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. Now in the latest development in this regard, the company is all set to launch a successor to this lineup with Black Shark Skywalker which has been spotted on the popular smartphone benchmarking website Geekbench.

The phone is seen featuring Snapdragon 855 chipset along with stunning 8GB of RAM, securing scores of 3,394 on single-core while on multi-core it boasts 11,149 which are pretty similar to the earlier similar category device Xperia XZ4. The Sony’s offering also had a similar chipset from Qualcomm. interestingly, Snapdragon 855 would allow these smartphones to pass the threshold of 10,000 scores for an Android-based smartphone in the history while Apple devices on A11 Bionic and A12 Bionic chips are securing such impressive scores.

In case you didn’t know, Snapdragon 855 means that these devices would also support 5G technology though would only work with the support of proper X24 and X50 modem. This little insight surely adds fuel to our thirst to know more about this device which might get announced in upcoming months.
