Xiaomi's first eBook reader is coming November 20

15 November 2019 0

Xiaomi is one of the most diverse consumer electronics companies that you will ever find. It has released all sorts of products including the most recently released fish tank that can be charged using a power bank. And now, it is ready to add one more product category to its ever-growing catalog of products.

As per a Weibo post, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will release an eBook reader at an event on November 20th. It will be the first-ever eBook reader from the company which will target avid book readers. The launch poster for the device suggests that it will be an e-ink display eBook reader like the popular Amazon Kindle lineup of eBook readers.

The design shown on the poster is standard to what we have been seeing with other eBook readers. The size seems to be similar to a Kindle and it also has thick bezels on all four sides. There are no buttons anywhere except for a single button on the top right. It is likely to be a power button to turn the eBook reader on or off.

Many other details about this upcoming Xiaomi eBook reader are currently unknown. We expect them to become public after next week's announcement. It should be noted that this new device will be a crowdfunded release under Xiaomi backed Mijia brand.
