A few recent past reports have been able to tell about the existence of the alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series. They might not have posed as a great help, but at least they suggest the development is under process.
Now, according to a fresh report, one tablet from the series has visited US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. This is believed to be the Mi Pad 5 Lite, possibly the cheapest version in the series. The spotted model number is 21051182G and it is speculated to be the Mi Pad 5 Lite. The FCC listing hasn’t revealed much apart from 22.5W fast-charging, as well as MIUI 12.5 OS.
Additionally, the tipster Digital Chat Station has added that the tablet will be powered by an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. Furthermore, it will feature a 10.95-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also come with a 12MP main camera. It is also said to come with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. While tipping the key specs, the tipster didn’t mention the name of the Mi Pad 5 Lite tablet and rather addressed it by the codename K82. These are actually the previous leaks that link the K82 codename to the Mi Pad 5 Lite.
The FCC listings hint at an imminent launch but we can’t comment on it.
In related news, Mi Pad 5 Pro recently gained its network access license from China’s MIIT. This is another hint at a nearly possible launch. The tablet is said to be powered by Snapdragon 870 processor.
