Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi has refreshed its gaming laptop with new processors. The all-new Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop gets new models that are offered in Intel and AMD variants. Both the variants get the 144Hz display. This is the same display that was offered last year and it is already on the list of top-tier features.
The Intel variant of the Redmi G 2021 houses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, whereas the AMD option has an AMD Ryzen 7 processor. The Intel variant of the laptop gets NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, whereas the AMD option features an AMD Ryzen 5800H processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce 3060 graphics.
Both the Intel and AMD versions of the Redmi G 2021 Feature a 16.1-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. They both carry 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. They both include Xiaomi’s Hurricane Cooling 3.0 heat dissipation system that brings large dual fans. They also feature USB Type-C charging, a three-level backlit keyboard, and Xiao AI digital assistant.
Both of them feature Wi-Fi 6 as a connectivity option and support DTS:X Ultra 3D audio and backlit keyboard. The Redmi G 2021 runs on Windows 10 (upgradeable to Windows 11)
The AMD version comes with a 230W charger, whereas the Intel one gets 180W.
The Redmi G 2021 with an Intel Core i5 is tagged at CNY 5,700 ($880), while the one with AMD Ryzen 5800H costs CNY 7,000 ($1,080). Both have been launched in China first but it is unknown if the company has any plans to make them available globally.
